St Chad's Broomfield CC16 May 2020 - 00:00

Today we spoke to opening batsmen, Tim Patterson.

1. What are your nicknames at the club?

Wolverine, Nicebut.

2. When did you join Chads and why?

Joined in 2005 after my previous club Highbury CC sadly folded. You can still see the old pitch down in Meanwood park.

Highbury CC, Sheffiled University 2nd XI.

4. What is your most memorable Chads match or moment?

St Chad's v South Milford – The all-time Wetherby League highest aggregate score 313-6 v 307 all out. Chads won and I scored 134* and took the winning catch (a certain Alistair Last) above my head on the boundary it would have been a six otherwise!

5. Who are your all-time top three Chads players?

James Bacon, Rob Binley (best captains) and Chris Benedek (best opening batting partner).

6. What are your top three self-promotion facts?

Scored a century every year for the last 5 years, in the exclusive club of having scored a ton and taken a 5-for for the Chad. Ran myself out on 99 twice!

7. What tune would you most like to go out to bat to?

Underworld - Born Slippy.

8. Which sportsperson do you compare yourself to and why?

Alistair Brownlee - no-nonsense Yorkshire attitude!

9. What do you love the most about Chads?

Team spirit.

10. What is your favourite part of the Chads ground and why?

The short square boundaries!

11.What one thing would you change about the club?
