Our new challenge to raise funds and awareness!

Mental health is a powerful challenge, and our cricket club is ready to take it on. We're not just raising money; we're building a community, showing support, and driving awareness for men's mental health. Every donation and every conversation brings us closer to breaking the stigma. By coming together, we’re not just hitting sixes on the field; we’re making a real difference in the lives of our fellow men. Join us in this crucial innings for mental well-being!

As well as the traditional moustache growing for Movember, we will be holding two events to help raise funds and awareness.

Sixes Cricket - Saturday 16th November, 1pm start

We'll have an absolute blast at the new Sixes Cricket in Headingley! Beyond the thrilling matches and high-fives, we will be united by a higher purpose: raising funds and awareness for men's mental health. Combining fun, fitness, and philanthropy, we aimed to break the silence and show that it's okay to talk about mental health. Every run scored and every laugh shared will be a step towards better support and understanding for our fellow men. Let's keep the momentum going, on and off the field!

Our junior players and parents will be first up, followed by our senior section, for what will be an amazing afternoon at the brand new Sixes Cricket in Headingley.

The Otley Walk - Saturday 30th November, 10am start

Our cricket club will tackle a new kind of challenge by walking 20km to raise funds and awareness for men's mental health. This journey will be about more than just putting one foot in front of the other — it will be about taking steps together to break the silence and stigma around mental health issues. Every mile walked will bring us closer, not just as a club, but as a community dedicated to supporting our fellow men. Let's continue to stride forward, making every step count for mental well-being.

We will follow the Leeds link route for the Dales Way from Woodhouse Moor to Otley, via Meanwood Valley, Eccup Reservoir and over the Otley Chevin. Although this is roughly 20km end to end, we will have various start/finish points for those who would just like to do part of the route.

Our club goal is to collectively walk 612km, which is the distance from our cricket club in Headingley, Leeds to Lords Cricket Ground in London, and back!

We've also set ourselves the target of raising £612 over the month, so if you could help us reach, or go beyond this target, we would be extremely grateful.
